Under immediate supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in complex design storyboards digitally using various media and design software applications, as well as other related tasks as required.

• Create and design storyboards for digital media formats such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts.
• Ensure projects are completed promptly and are of high quality.
• Use a wide range of media and design software.
• Develop computer graphics and animations based on detailed 3D roadway and bridge designs.
• Review and perform quality assurance (QA) on 3D design models and/or animations for errors.
• Implement feedback and changes whenever possible.
• Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging for the project.

Minimum Requirements

Education and experience: The educational equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer animation, 3D/graphic design, fine arts or related field from an accredited college or university.


Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of both print and digital media. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Attention to detail. Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills. Knowledge of animation layouts, typography, print, and web.


Working conditions: Occasional statewide travel.

Licenses, registrations and certifications: Valid driver's license.
