Job Title: Director, Government Affairs

In the context of US government initiatives to reduce GHG emissions and reach net-zero by 2050, we are seeking a talented professional to join our team in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

1. Execute the company's Federal Government Affairs activities, focusing on international and domestic policy issues.
2. Enhance TotalEnergies' presence among Washington DC stakeholders, including policymakers, industry associations, and diplomatic missions.
3. Develop and advocate for policy positions supporting TotalEnergies' business interests.
4. Identify emerging policy issues relevant to the company's priorities.
5. Provide insights and analyses on US policy developments of interest.
6. Implement advocacy strategies for US-based stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior Government Affairs professional to guide our federal activities and develop related strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in U.S. Government, Public Affairs, Economics, or Business (required).
• Advanced degree in relevant fields (preferred).
• Previous experience in the energy industry.

Skills

• Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex issues clearly.
• Strong collaboration and project management skills.
• Deep understanding of Washington, D.C.'s political landscape.
• Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus.
