About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on products.
  • Troubleshoot errors or failures to root cause.
  • Undertake remedial action to restore the product to normal operating conditions.
  • Demonstrate or train the correct PM and/or operation of equipment.
  • Commission, set up, and test the equipment.
  • Complete and maintain various documentation and computer systems used in the execution of work as required.
  • Arrive promptly and properly dressed at all field locations.
  • Develops and maintains a rapport with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Remain on-call as required by the customer and/or service agreement.
  • Promote a safety culture, practice proper Edwards safety procedures, and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.

Qualifications

  • Requires an AS degree, full military equivalent, or 4+ years of equivalent experience in relevant technical fields such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum.
  • Experience in Field Service and the Semiconductor industry is preferred.
  • Clean driving record.

Required Skills

  • Competent in the use of test equipment, including various multimeters, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Possess basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet software, and databases.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and enthusiastic, be willing to learn, and be committed to getting the job done.
  • A self-starter who can set priorities and demonstrate initiative.
  • Must be capable of exercising good independent judgment.
  • Possesses good customer interface and communication skills.
  • May be required to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time.
  • Will be required to complete training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
