Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Furniture Installer to join our team at the Montgomery VA Hospital. The ideal candidate has experience assembling and installing furniture from various brands and is proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to installation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and repair furniture according to manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and installation instructions.
Transport, position, and secure furniture in designated locations safely.
Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality of installed furniture.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and hospital staff.
Follow all VA hospital policies and safety protocols during installation.
Complete required VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior Training.
Qualifications
Prior experience in furniture installation or a related field.
Knowledge of various furniture brands and their assembly requirements.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy furniture.
Must pass a background check and complete all VA-mandated training.
