We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsJOB SUMMARY:We are seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist in the coordination of nursing/psychiatric care provided in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner. In this role you will:Observe, report, and document patient’s physiological and psychological status by using the nursing process based upon established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and/or Standards of Care/Practice. Provide and document information on patient care.Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.Serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's right to privacy by protecting confidential information.Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm or potential harm. What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateNonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateOther-Fingerprint RequiredNo Travel RequiredNo experience Required Years of Experience HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is a 267-bed hospital.
